Nick
Doody Nick
Doody is one of brightest talents on the comedy circuit. Sharp, topical and not
afraid to say what he thinks, his brand of political comedy and satire has won
fans all over the country. Nick's
career as a stand-up comedian got off to a pretty good start, whilst still a student,
Nick supported the late Bill Hicks on his final tour of the UK. Bill himself had
requested Nick. Since
then Nick has become a familiar face on the comedy circuit. As well as gigging
regularly all over the UK, Nick has also performed Ireland, Germany and Croatia.
Nick is also much in demand as a writer for television, most recently writing
for cult animation series 'EMPIRE SQUARE', BBC4's 'LATE EDITION', Channel 4's
'FAQ U', '8 OUT OF 10 CATS' & 'FRIDAY NIGHT PROJECT', ITV2's 'LIP SERVICE'
and More4's 'LAST WORD'. Nick's radio and TV credits as a performer include
contributing to shows such as 'THE MARK THOMAS COMEDY PROJECT' on Channel 4, BBC
Radio 4's 'POLITICAL ANIMAL and Nick was also one of the regular guests on BBC3's
'COMIC SIDE OF 7 DAYS'. 2006
will see Nick making his long-awaited solo show debut at the Edinburgh Festival
with 'NICK DOODY - BEFORE HE KILLS AGAIN'. "The new Denis Leary"
