 "It's high time someone gave him a TV show of his own" The Guardian 2005 Multi award winning writer and comedian Mark Maier, is a highly sought after performer on both the national and international comedy circuits. He has played Germany, Holland, Ireland, Hong Kong, Bahamas, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand - and has also appeared at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles and Caroline's in New York. Recent professional highlights include two series of 'Trapped' for BBC Radio 4 - a show both written and performed by Mark (with a third series already penned), Inner Voices of Men an Alan Bennett style talking heads series for BBC R4 and Object Lessons - the radio adaptation of his hit 2004 Edinburgh show. Marks many television appearances include; The Stand Up Show (BBC1), Dating The Enemy (ITV), Bring Me The Head of Light Entertainment, (CH5), Fives Company (CH5), The World Stands Up (Paramount Comedy), Comedy Rules (SKY) & Live At Jongleurs (LWT). As an actor he appeared in Rory Bremner, Who Else? (CH4) and recently filmed an episode of My Hero (BBC 1). Mark regularly performs with the critically-acclaimed 'Comedy Store Players'. He has taught improvisational comedy in London and founded the group 'MadLib' which performed at the Edinburgh Festival. His ability to tailor material on demand has also made him very popular with corporate bookers.
