Marcus Ryan

"Effortlessly funny" Three Weeks, Edinburgh 2005

Hailing from Wonthaggi - a small town without even any traffic lights - Marcus tells tales of his experiences through Europe, Asia, the USA and Canada, charming his audiences with a naive look on the world through a silly boy's eyes, as a regular support act and as MC.

Having been invited to hit the Edinburgh Festival with the Raw Prawns troupe (2003) and then gigging comprehensively around the UK, Marcus returned home to Australia to be selected for The Melbourne Comedy Festival's Comedy Zone 2004.

Marcus Ryan has previously worked in breakfast radio and acting. He has performed stand-up regularly at corporate events, clubs, pubs and festivals throughout Australia. Now based in the UK after recently completing successful seasons at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as shows in the US and Canada.
