Julian Barratt ood Noel Fielding AKA The Boosh won the Perrier Award for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Festival 1998. During their residency at the Hen and Chickens theater the following year they built up a cult following. In 1999 they took their new show Arctic Boosh to the Edinburgh Festival, sold out every night and won a nomination for the Perrier Award. In
2000 they performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and
won the Festival's Barry Humphries Award. The same year Julian and Noel
starred in the acclaimed short film Sweet which won a Bafta nomination.
In 2001 their BBC Radio show The Boosh was awarded the Douglas Adams
Award for innovative comedy writing. The Boosh currently have a TV series
in development with Baby Cow Productions for the BBC.
