Zoë Grisedale

Zoë Grisedale is a fresh, original and exciting talent. Dubbed the 'kooky cockney', she is an actor who started her stand-up career only a few short months ago, but has already made some serious waves on the circuit. Zoë runs and compères the East End's favourite - and hippest - comedy night NO FUN, in the George Tavern's abandoned Theatre, and was recently the host of a brand new comedy event; 'A Night of Cock and Bull' atJamboree, Cable Street Studios.

Zoë is the comedy booker and promoter for the 3 day festival 'LADYFEST TEN' Nov 12th -14th 2010 and is Assistant Producer for Funny Women, founded by Lynne Parker. Funny Women run workshops and organise nationwide comedy events and stand-up competitions.

Zoë's set itself is comedy gold, drawing together her anecdotes from the chauvinist and vapid world of commercial modelling (the career she originally pursued) and her painfully acute social observations and bizarre life experiences, leaving her audience with aching sides and something to think about too. She is hugely physical, cheeky and quite simply: a clown. Her silly stories will put a smile on your face and make you question the way you see the world.

After seeing Zoë's routines Phil Kay and Sarah May immediately invited her to be a guest comedian in their Edinburgh 2010 shows. Over the last year Zoë has supported some amazing comedy talent that includes Susan Calman, Shazia Mirza, Paul Foot, Phil Kay, Lynn-Ruth Miller and Helen Keen.
