The Amazing Syd Selby and Fanny

The comedy pensioner duo are the creation of Terence Mann and Julia Rounthwaite, professional actors for the past eight years. Syd and Fanny shuffled onto the comedy scene at The Buzz Club in Manchester in the summer of 2001 and reached the final heats of So You Think You're Funny? in the same year. Since then, they have cropped up at various venues up and down the country and made a few TV appearances in the process. With their unique blend of songs, comedy, magic and foul language, the disillusioned illusionists relive their glory days in the twilight years of their lives.

In December 2002, they were asked to produce a Christmas extravaganza for the Royal Exchange Theatre Studio in Manchester. The result was Syd and Fanny's Christmas Turkey, which went down a real treat, so much so they will be touring the show throughout December 2003.
