Steve Williams

"The Prodigy" - The Independent

This supremely enjoyable and hugely popular Welsh comedian & writer continues to enchant audiences around the globe with his quirky and imaginative fun packed stand up shows.

Already in 2006 alone the innovative and dynamic performer has:

Toured nationwide with Lee Mack on the sell out 2006 Lee Mack Live Tour.
Completed a fourth season headlining on the UK Comedy Network.
Performed at the Cardiff St David's Day Festival.
Appeared at the Miller Glasgow Comedy Festival & Leicester Comedy Festival.

This frantic pace shows few signs of abating as by the end of this incredibly successful year the fast rising supernova will also have debuted his one man solo show 'Excitable' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Streatham Festival and the Newcastle and Sheffield Comedy Festivals. All this is alongside regularly performing at every major UK comedy club including Jongleurs, Comedy Store, Glee Club, The Stand, The Hyennah, The Komedia, and Lee Hursts Backyard Club.

All this for a comedian who ability was recognised early on by a nomination in 2002 for the Best Open Mic award at the Chortle Awards.

The plethora of other credits to Williams name include having written for Distractions the Jimmy Carr hosted quiz show produced by Talkback, appeared on BBC 2's Essential Edinburgh and in the ITV1 Children of Courage Awards. Steve has also played a radio station producer in the recorded pilot for Rosewood Productions XFM on Your Radio Dial, appeared as a comedic pundit on Channel Four's The Richard & Judy Show as well as having been invited to perform his unique brand of stand up internationally in countries that include France, Germany, Singapore and Dubai
