Steve Parry

‘Belligerent Welsh comedy no-gooder’ - The Wire

Steve regularly performs at comedy clubs all over the country for, amongst others Mirth Control, Agraman and Downstairs At The Kings Head, Book Club, Political Animal, Hen and Chickens and Old Rope.  He has performed at numerous festivals including Edinburgh (Stevie & Evie’s Midnight Muck ’07, Parry & Allen’s Revolutions ‘09), LLangollen (’07 supporting Milton Jones), Tollpuddle KX and Marxism 2010.  He also supported Steve Williams on his ’09 Welsh tour.

Steve was also a founder member of surreal double act Chocolate Sandwich ‘Bizarre’-Time Out, ‘ performing at venues as diverse as the V&A, The Royal College Of Art, the Paul Smith Shop and The Barbican. Chocolate Sandwich also feature on Mmmzzz, a sound poetry compilation available on Spanish label Didac.

Comedy Writer
Steve is an established comedy writer and has worked on many popular and award winning shows including The Frank Skinner Show, Stand Up For The Week, Man Stroke Woman, V Graham Norton,  I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here (NBC), Live At The Apollo, Sport Relief with Stephen Fry, Hot Gossip with Claudia Winkleman (BBC Radio 2), The Xtra Factor, Dick and Dom’s Funny Business, The Simon Brodkin Show (E4) and Basil Brush amongst others.

He has also worked extensively as a development producer for the BBC and Talkback Thames, developing and producing the pilot of Distraction for Channel 4, as well as contributing to a whole host of other projects.

Broadcaster/ Journalist
Steve is a regular on BBC Radio Wales Comedy Panel Show ‘What’s The Story’. He also has his own show political comedy show, Steve Parry’s Totally Biased on Resonance 104.4fm.com.

Steve has an MA in journalism from Goldsmith College, and began his career writing comedy pieces for The Guardian New Media Lab.

Steve was a member of the National Youth Theatre and has appeared in numerous theatre productions and commercials.
