Ruth Bratt

Ruth has recently appeared in Touch Me I'm Karen Taylor on BBC3 and has just completed a pilot made by Channel K Productions. She appeared in CBBC's The Slammer and ITV2's backstage coverage of the Brit Awards as well as Rob Brydon's Annually Retentive for BBC3 and Channel 4's FAQ U where she was a regular panellist.

Ruth first came to prominence when she was runner up in the prestigious nationwide Babycham Funny Women stand up competition in 2005 and with it a host of offers flooded in.

As well as now performing her stand up at all the major UK comedy clubs she is a founder member of  the Scratch Impro comedy team that performs regularly in Central London as well as being part of the Soap Kitchen and Reduced Edinburgh Fringe Impro Show.  In 2006 she co-starred with Kirsten O'Brien in Lesley's Lunch Hour and returned with the Reduced Edinburgh Show alongside her own one-woman Edinburgh Fringe show: And On Your Left...Ruth Bratt as well as Showstopper!: The Improvised Musical.

Previously she has acted in four Edinburgh productions Aliens are Scary, Morpheus Descending, The Service Elevator and George Orwell's 1984 School Disco, the latter two also transferred to The Soho Theatre.

She is currently starring in the London run of Showstopper!: The Improvised Musical and has just completed filming on a new sitcom pilot for Paramount Comedy.  She also regularly voices The Pod for BBC TV and Radio.
