Nathan Lang

Nathan Lang is a British/Australian actor and comic. His career debuted playing Pinhead on Australian soap Neighbours for two years (1998-2000), followed by guest roles on several other Aussie TV shows: Good Guys Bad Guys (opposite Marcus Graham), Blue Heelers, Stingers, Last Man Standing and Marshall Law.

At university he performed in - and then directed for three years - the Monash Law Revue (the Melbourne equivalent of the Cambridge Footlights). He formed sketch group Vicious Ha-Sa, who produced 6-part comedy series The Intermissionary Position for Melbourne’s Chanel 31, and had a near-hit with the single Show & Don’t Tell from their boy band parody 40 Foot Flaccid. Nathan performed shows in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival each year from 2000-2004.

Australian theatre credits: Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It (also directed), Hamlet and The Merry Wives Of Windsor.

As well as performing in many short films both in Australia and the UK, he directed the silent short films Pre-Dinner Cocktails and Entertaining Countess Dracula (with Hungarian gypsy band Vardos – screened in a festival in New York, and a cupboard in Budapest).

In 2010 Nathan relocated permanently to the UK, appearing in fringe theatre, short films, and commercials for Dog’s Trust, Huawei, Stonewall and even a dating website! UK credits include absurdist plays The Client (BAC) and Last Drinks (Cock Tavern Theatre), and Aussie plays The Present (Cock Tavern Theatre) and Cosi (White Bear and King’s Head).

In 2013 he reformed his Australian comedy partnership Jon & Nath (jonandnath.com), with a YouTube channel, and new live show Jon & Nath Like To Party (currently touring the circuit). Jon & Nath were Sketchfest 2016 finalists (‘Best New Act’ and ‘Best Video Sketch’).

Nathan has trained in clown with John Wright, Doctor Brown and Nola Rae. In 2016 he co-founded international clown troupe Farce Forward, whose debut show One Man Two Ghosts has already been picked up by a leading theatre venue for Edinburgh 2017. He is a regular stand-up, character and alternative comedy performer, and co-host of monthly experimental comedy night Lost Cabaret (lostcabaret.com).
