Brief Biography

Mark Niel is a Stand Up Poet who brings smart lines and high-energy performance poetry to unsuspecting audiences. A different act or excellent MC, Mark has a regular weekly slot on BBC radio and has performed at major festivals such as Latitude and Green Man.

A frequent headline act on the Poetry Circuit, Mark has also made an impact on comedy and cabaret shows playing at many theatres and festivals. Undercutting his middle-class, middle-aged, middle-management image, his lyrical rants about his frequently misspelt name or frustrations of Fridges in shared houses has entertained audiences of all ages. Mark also writes topical poems to tight deadlines.
