Laura Carr

Laura Carr is a comedian, actress and writer, who has been performing stand up comedy since 2009. Her cheeky anecdotes along with her mix of youth and confidence means she has become a firm favourite on the London circuit and up and down the UK.

This year Laura was the only female finalist in the  'So You Think You're Funny?' prestigious comedy competition.

In August 2010 Laura performed in "Funny Peculiar", a three hand stand up show at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, alongside talented young comedians Lindsay Sharman (Funny Women finalist) and Paul Duncan McGarrity.

At just 10 months in to her comedy career Laura was performing alongside established comedians at The Comedy Store including Stewart Lee, Rufus Hound and Andi Osho. Laura has managed to play some of the best known comedy clubs in the UK including; The Comedy Store, Up the Creek, Monkey Business (Saturday nights), Downstairs at the Kings Head and various Mirth control. She is also a popular MC, and has hosted big events, such as the Youth Slam nights at The Soho Theatre.

" Brimming with confidence, an energetic delivery that instantly appeals" Chortle.

"Brilliant ballsy humour from a sassy young lady" Nicky Harley, The Sun.

“At 23 Laura has a very bright future ahead of her. She's disarmingly cute, blatantly sassy, intelligent, original & funny as hell. She held the stage like a seasoned professional. In short exciting, hilarious, and at just under a year in, frighteningly good” - Cole Parker
