Katy Bagshaw

A direct descendent of the infamous Derbyshire Bagshaw abattoir empire, whose motto is "We get the meat to the shop before it goes cold", Katy Bagshaw burst on to the London comedy scene in November 2004 and was immediately pounced upon by various casting and production agents, not just for her comedy talents, but also because she is really rather pretty, for a comic.

Within the first month of her comedy debut, Katy was invited to write material for BBC New Comedy and her achievements, so far, include starring in "Paul Foot's Guide to Mothers" (taking the lead role as Eve in the "Garden of Eden" sketch), and reaching the semi-finals of the prestigious "So You Think You're Funny", and “Funny Women” competitions.

Katy Bagshaw shows a strong range of acting skills, both in comedic and straight roles, and has been praised for her improvisational and writing skills. She is also an accomplished MC.

Katy Bagshaw has appeared at the following venues:
· Amused Moose (various venues)
· Monkey Business
· Chuckle Club
· Downstairs at the Kings Head

…and many other venues across London and the UK!
