James Bran

"★★★★ His quirky performance showcases his talent as both actor and comic. Creative and rather unusual, it opens the show with a high and Bran's a hard act to follow" - Three Weeks

"★★★★ Succeeds in creating something both intruiging and funny...most notably very promising for the future." - BroadwayBaby

"Guaranteed to have you in stitches" - The U Review

"I absolutely adored James Bran's combination of world-weary haikus given a deliciously wonky delivery" - Huffington Post

James Bran is a fast-rising talent on the UK comedy circuit. Refreshingly different, whilst still appealing to main stream comedy audiences, he's bringing his quirky blend of stand-up and comic poetry to clubs all over the country.

Despite being a relative newcomer to the comedy scene at large, James is a resident MC at both Crack Comedy and The Patchwork Club. This experience has made him a polished and confident performer belying his limited time as a circuit act:

Some recent feedback from The Good Ship Comedy Club:
"James played to our biggest house of the year and was on a bill with several award-winning comics. He didn't look out of place and possibly had the best gig of the night. His material is innovative, engaging, original and very funny and he has the calm, brave persona to match it. In less skilled hands his haikus, mic stand manipulation and oddball ideas could fall flat, but he carries them off with a great deal of confidence and top-rate ability. A hilarious and bold act that deserves to be seen by more people."

Edinburgh Shows
In 2014, James beat off stiff competition to win a place in Bound & Gagged Comedy's showcase 'AAA' at The Pleasance Edinburgh.
This will be his third year at the Edinburgh Fringe, having previously performed in two 3-hander shows and one 45-minute solo show.
