Jack Campbell

My name is Jack Campbell, I was born on September 1st 1990 and grew up in a small village in Cambridgeshire. I have always watched and listened to stand-up comedy progressing from VHS tapes of Robin Williams, Billy Connolly and Alan Davies to downloading Jim Carrey, Dane Cook and Ray Romano on to an old Ipod, to DVDs of Dave Chappelle, Peter Kay and Bill Bailey.

In 2009 I started my degree in Creative Writing and English Language at De Montfort University in Leicester. It was here my stand-up journey began as a part of a comedy society that allowed me to perform regularly, including at Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. After spending a large chunk of my University loans on fuel and train tickets so I can gig around the country, I graduated and returned back to Cambridgeshire where I am still currently based and am still regularly gigging.

Over the years I have developed and worked hard on my act, which is basically me telling stories that are mostly true as well as my observations as a 24-year-old-southern-white-heterosexual-male.

Each year just gets better and better it seems, with some highlights including...

Winning English Comedian of the Year 2014
Gigging in Estonia, Finland and Latvia
Shortlisted for the BBC Radio New Comedy Award Finals
Reaching three competitions finals in 2014
Regularly gigging with Professional TV Comedians

2015 will be crazy exciting as well which is why I figured it was time to make a website to keep you updated with my goings on. Here are some of the hopeful happenings of next year.

Adelaide Fringe Festival in Australia (prize for winning English Comedian of the Year)
'Is This The Best of Jack Campbell?' - debut solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe

"Funny and refeshingly inventive" - House of Stand Up

"Gets hearty laughs,  100% funny" - - Broadway Baby
