Harry Wright

‘Lived up to his star billing’ (Norwich Tab)

Harry Wright’s act is a fast-paced, multifaceted mix of observation and performance, drawing on his unique perspective on everyday life as an autistic man.
Since his first gig in 2011 after being told to ‘man up and get over’ a failed relationship, Harry has brought his singular blend of cheeky Northern charm and alternative comedy grounding to venues all over the country. Having worked with members of the Cambridge Footlights and been specially selected to open for Russell Howard, his fresh, highly visual approach to performance and ability to draw humour from difficult issues means his career continues to grow in exciting directions as he begins to move onto paid work.

Harry has performed at renowned London nights such as Heavenly Comedy and Monkey Business, and was until recently a regular at The Birdcage, Norwich. His career began in Cambridge, where he performed at every major venue in town both solo and as part of sketch group No Fixed Abode, most notably debuting his one-hour show, ‘Bare Jokes’, to a sold out house at the Corpus Playrooms. He has also worked in York, Leeds and throughout East Anglia and is making his Comedy Store debut in July 2015. He formerly ran and compered Cavs Comedy Club in Cambridge, the city’s sole alternative space, booking award-winning acts from across the country.

In 2014, Harry was invited to perform on David Icke’s web TV channel, so a televised hour special is clearly not far down the line.
