David Kelly

David Kelly is a fine and funny stand-up whose jokes are on the intelligent side of stupid. But only just. He has been performing stand-up for as long as he can remember (about three years), and he talks nonsense in comedy clubs all over Britain. He's enjoyed gigs at the Comedy Store, Banana Cabaret, the Chuckle Club and a host of dingy rooms above, and occasionally below, pubs. His idol is Columbo, he is obsessed with Dr Pepper, and he'll perform stand-up wherever and whenever people will let him. It's all he has.

He's taken two shows to Edinburgh - 'Afternoon Tea' in 2009, and 'Obsession' in 2010 - where he was listed in Scotland on Sunday's 'Top 10 Free Shows' and was a Scotsgay 'Editor's Choice', amongst others. In 2011 he'll be returning with his new show 'Naked', with So You Think You're Funny finalist Laura Carr. So that's good.

"Really great material - fantastic..." Adam Bloom

"The best opening line I've ever heard..." Greg Davies

"Just like Woody Allen back in his stand-up days..." Don Ward, Comedy Store
