Calum Stewart

Calum Stewart is a self deprecating deadpan teen comic currently performing mainly on the South Wales and South West of England comedy scene. His unique charm of social awkwardness has taken him from Tuesday night open mic nights in Cardiff to middle fifteen minute spots on Saturday night bills in the comedy clubs of Stockholm. Calum uses his diagnosis of Aspergers Syndrome in a positive way and tries to raise awareness of the condition within his stand up. He's best suited to 10 - 15 minute sets and is also a regular MC on the circuit as well who can also perform in Welsh.

Gigged for:
Comedy Sheep (Paid 10)
Bristol Underground Comedy (Ten)
Laughing Leek Comedy (Ten)
Stand Up For Comedy (Paid MC)
Clwb Comedy (MC)
Cosmic Comedy, Berlin
Freshly Squeezed Comedy
Comedy Cow (Pontyclun open spot)
Clowns Pocket Comedy Club, Neath

Calum has performed at the Machynlleth Comedy Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe festival and was a semi finalist in the 2016 Welsh Unsigned Stand Up Award competition. He's also supported Joe Lycett, Scott Capurro, John Gordillo, Ellie Taylor and Stuart Goldsmith on professional bills.

"An exciting new comic who already possesses an armoury of killer jokes. His is a name to remember" Joe Lycett

"Refreshingly honest and charming with perfect comic timing. A national treasure in the making" Scott Capurro

"A very promising deadpan youngster" South Wales Evening Post

"A great writer with an unique outlook. This guy is the one to watch" Bristol Underground Comedy

"Amazing stage presence and great jokes" Matt Rees

"Calum is refreshing and unique. Whilst on stage he occupies an apparent painful shyness and quiet awkwardness, this cleverly hides one of the sharpest wits out there. His material is brilliant but by bringing the audience in he naturally achieves a level of crowd work that his shy on stage persona shouldn't be allowed to and that most would be afraid to even try" standupforcomedy.co.uk
