Alistair McGowan

The three series of “Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression” (Vera Prods for BBC1) has taken the public by storm and indeed has won a British Comedy Award for Best Comedy and Entertainment Programme. He is currently filming a Christmas Special.

Series aside, Alistair has also found time to film and record an eclectic range of other programmes: he has stood in for Terry Wogan on “Points of View” (BBC1), interviewed other impersonators as Michael Parkinson on “Night of 1000 Faces” (BBC1), discussed his comedic influences on “Talking Comedy” (BBC Radio), created voices for “Ripley & Scuff” (The Children’s Co) and presented a documentary about the human voice, “I’d Know That Voice Anywhere” for BBC Radio 4.

A trained actor, Alistair played ‘Serge’ in “Art” and many will remember him fondly for his role as ‘Spock’ in BBC1’s “Preston Front”.
