Adam Montgomery has been involved in comedy for over eight years as a promoter, however only in January 2000 did he pluck up the courage to get on stage and give it a go himself. However in the time he has been performing he has been building up a reputation as a consistent and funny comic.
With a laid-back style, friendly manner and topical material, this sharp and witty performer is now regularly performing throughout the UK, both as compere and 20 minute sets. He is resident compere at The Comedy Zone in Worcester and Stratford-upon-Avon as well as The Courtyard Theatre in Hereford for The Comedy Company. He has run and compered a season of shows at The Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. He has recently started performing at Jongleurs and The Comedy Store. In July 2002 & 2003 he appeared at The Guildford Music Festival.
2000, after only four months of stand up experience he was a semi-finalist
at the BBC New Comedy Awards and appeared on BBC Choice. In 2002 and
now even beginning to wonder himself whether he was a new act still
or not he reached the last 32 and once again appeared on BBC Choice.
"If Adam Montgomery keeps improving at the rate he¹s been going over this last year, he should be packing them in himself before long. "Comedy¹s not as easy as it looks, is it?" he remarked to one befuddled heckler. It isn¹t, but he makes it look a breeze." - Bath Chronicle
