Steve Brown

Steve Brown is a composer and lyricist who has worked with some of the biggest names in theatre, comedy and television.

He starred as the Musical Director, Glen Ponder in Knowing Me Knowing You (BBC2) alongside Steve Coogan’s Alan Partridge. Steve also toured with Coogan during 1998/9 on his sell out The Man Who Thinks He’s It UK tour and the subsequent London run.

Steve also starred as bandleader in the award winning, All New Harry Hill Show (ITV1) and was musical director on three successive live Harry Hill tours, also appearing in Harry’s house band, The Caterers.

He co-wrote the award winning musical Spend Spend Spend which ran in London’s West End in 1999 and is currently working on a musical version of It’s A Wonderful Life.

In addition Steve has written the music and lyrics for a number of hit television shows including SM:TV Live (ITV1), My Parents Are Aliens series (ITV1), Spitting Image (ITV1), The Mary Whitehouse Experience (BBC2), Newman and Baddiel (BBC2), They Think It’s All Over (BBC1), Fantasy Football League (BBC2/ITV1), Get Your Own Back (BBC1) Cross Combat (Channel 4), Lenny Henry Goes To Town (BBC1), Rory Bremner (Channel 4), Jasper Carrott (BBC1), Frank Skinner (BBC1), Smith and Jones (BBC2), and Zig and Zag (Channel 4).
