“He’s disarming, clever and skilful – able to mix word-play gags with solid, original and interesting material - even about the most commonplace experiences and gripes. Sometimes fuelled by a sense of injustice, his occasional - and often truncated - poems can say it best. An amiable and laid back comedian with a strong stage presence, he knows how to rant and he knows how to laugh. A lot of what he says is unashamedly silly and inconsequential. But that’s ok when it’s very funny, which it so often is. A rising star for sure” It may be a review that not everyone agrees with but that’s the nature of reviews. I wrote it myself. Since October 2005 I have done a fair few gigs. I was resident compere at Ministry Of Titillation, Kensington, from April 2007 until March 2008. I’ve also co-run Angel Delight & Monday Gloom with the lovely Rosie Wilby at The Camden Head, Angel Islington, fortnightly on Mondays. I gig in and around London, as well as doing some stuff nationally, as far flung as Plymouth to the West, Petersfield to the South and Stratford-on Avon & Tamworth to the…Midlands – mostly with Mirth Control. I also ventured as far north as Edinburgh for the festival in 2008 performing daily at The Standing Order and evenings with Liz Bentley and guests in ..erm..a swimming pool. Critics & promoters have said these things: “Funny & light hearted” “decent banter” ThreeWeeks “He has a confident, likeable manner and is easy to listen to” Fringe Report “The highlight of the show [I’d like to] seek out more of his performances” Edfringe.com “touching [poetry]” The List “Brilliant and wry, one of our favourites” The Poodle Club, London
