Rupert
Knutt
"You've heard of Rupert Bear from Nutwood. I'm Rupert
Knutt from Bearwood." Rupert Knutt is a Birmingham based novelty character
act. Inspired to perform by Andy Robinson's famous 'shampoo bottle' gag and a
free pint from Karen Bayley, Rupert has been performing on and off since winning
The Glee Club's new act competition in 2002 - "Rupert Knutt literally bought
the house down" - The Glee.
Dressed in his trademark balaclava (Trinny
and Susannah said they are coming back in) Rupert tells tales about keeping fit,
education and his troubled love life. Rupert is very community minded and is often
helping the police with their enquiries - although this is usually down to a misunderstanding.
He also has social conscience and has adopted a zoo keeper at Dudley Zoo.
