Rob Tarbuck started writing and performing stand-up comedy in January 2005 and hasn’t stopped since. His comedy ranges from the ridiculous to the sublime, with a healthy dash of righteous indignation thrown in for good measure, but always delivered with boundless energy fuelled by his infectious enthusiasm for live performance. He is also a very gifted writer of masturbatory waffle.
Based in London, Rob has appeared at clubs across the UK as well as in Canada and the USA. He regularly comperes for the award-winning Amused Moose Comedy Clubs in London where he has supported acts such as Noel Fielding, Stephen Merchant and Lucy Porter, and will be in Edinburgh hosting Amused Moose Comedy’s Hot Starlets 2008 show (sold out in previous years). Rob performs professionally at the Comedy Café, Downstairs at the King’s Head, and for Mirth Control among others. He has also performed for Chuckle Club, Up The Creek, Electric Mouse, The Bearcat Club, Derby Funhouse, Oi Oi Comedy, and Monkey Business, and has beaten the gong at the Comedy Store.
Prior to stand-up comedy, Rob worked as a bit part actor on the telly and in some films. Credits include Midsomer Murders, Nicholas Nickleby, and Planet of the Apes.
He has also appeared as a comedian on Brainiac: Science Abuse for Sky TV.
