Richard Pulsford

Richard does have a sense of humour. At least a sense of one. And if it makes any sense to you, like a San Francisco tramcar, it will give you a different slant on the world. But if the earth moves for you, it'll be San Andreas' fault. Like a prisoner on Alcatraz his humour keeps trying to escape. Although it would be more logical to catch the ferry like everyone else. When it does escape it may be in the form of sketch-writing, stand-up comedy, songs, acting or directing. But never mime, you hear me? For the terminally bored, here are some details from his cv.

As a director, Richard has directed 2 shows at the Edinburgh Fringe:
'Bagging (The Last Munro)' at Greyfriars in 2002
'After Bagging' at Augustines in 2003
He co-wrote the first show with screenwriter Jon Love and it was a complete and utter sell-out!

As an actor, Richard has appeared in many amateur stage productions since 1999. Here are a few of the roles he has tackled:
’Algernon’ in Oscar Wilde's 'The Importance of Being Earnest'
’Ferdinand’ in Shakespeare's 'The Tempest'
’Count Orsini-Rosenberg’ in Peter Schaffer's 'Amadeus'
’Andy’ in John Godber's 'The Office Party'
’Gosforth’ in Alan Ayckbourn's 'Gosforth Fete'

He has also acted in the following illustrious productions in the last year and a half:
Channel 4's documentary 'Wearside Jack - The Ripper Hoax'
BBC TV's 'The Karen Dunbar Show' and 'Feel the Force'
The film 'Joyeux Noel'
Videos for 'National Trust for Scotland' and 'Scottish and Newcastle plc'

Richard discovered the joy of stand-up comedy in the summer of 2004. In that time he has performed at comedy gigs at the following eclectic mix of venues (sometimes more than once, but he's not always invited back):

Richard likes to spend time at home growing his own sideburns and looking at models. He has never smoked but admits to frequently inhaling. Despite this he is not qualified to be President of the USA as he was born in the UK. He also enjoys:
- new challenges
- compiling lists
