Comedy skills: Richard has a well-developed 30 minute set of gags and insights, which can easily be adapted to a shorter set length as required. He has performed many and varied gigs in Scotland and England since 2004, mainly in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London (see sample of venues below), but also in other smaller places such as Burntisland, South Queensferry, Ayr and Perth. Regularly receives bookings as a support act and recently headlined for Pop-Up Comedy in Glasgow.

Richard also runs a monthly gig in Burntisland, called ‘Mirth of Forth Comedy’, sometimes acting as MC. The club has booked comedians such as Jo Caulfield, Shazia Mirza, Tom Allen, Kai Humphries and Vladimir McTavish. The latter described one gig as “absolutely fantastic gig… definitely one of the best gigs I’ve had this year… really well organised, top afternoon”, whereas Jo tweeted, “Burntisland last night = FANTASTIC!!… If you’re a comedian and you get offered that gig – take it”.

Richard has also performed many times in the Edinburgh Fringe over the past few years, and at the Glasgow Comedy Festival. Most recently, he organised and ran a comedy showcase at The White Horse pub in Edinburgh as part of The Free Fringe for 15 days in August 2010 under ‘Mirth of Forth Comedy’, featuring acts such as Andrew Ryan, Mike Newall, Keir McAllister, James Kirk and Matt Richardson. The show received entirely favourable reviews.
