Television Stuff Solo Shows Awards What they say “Downright hilarious. Interspersed with some savvy observations” -Three Weeks “Hilarious anecdotes, observations and unashamed jokes” - The Weekly News “A genuine wit and passion…He has a natural likeable charm to him and a stylish delivery” - Chortle “Phil Buckley’s matey patter won the audience over immediately and it’s not hard to see why. He controlled the room, had everyone on his side with his tales of vodka-fuelled woe and dealt with anyone stupid enough to heckle him brilliantly. His tale of a stag do in Russia brought the house down” - BBC Manchester “Very funny” - BBC Tees “A hit with the audience who quickly warmed to anecdotes about drinking with students, working in Salford and attracting the amorous intentions of your brother-in-law. A confident, strong communicator with sharp observations and an easy style” - Nightlife and 9/2 Cumberland News “Phil Buckley was the final act to take the stage before the interval, ‘take’ being the operative word. After getting involved in a directionless interchange with the noisiest group of people in the audience, he managed to pull his set back on track seamlessly, which was impressive to say the least. It is obvious that Phil is a good performer, his set is polished and well delivered. I feel he his best suited to taking a run of the mill topic and twisting it; his material about a stag night in Russia is priceless, the audience lapped it up, and the laughs came thick and fast” - Manchestercomedy.com 'A laid-back affair, with a useful ability to ad-lib' - Manchester Evening News “Sure to find success” - Bolton News “The Comedian who bears all....Rising star of the stand-up circuit” - Leicester Mercury “Laid-back humour and ability to ad-lib allow him to keep the audience captivated” - Bolton Evening News “Tremendous” - Student Direct “Excelled, Larger than life” - Bury Times |
