Paul Currie

Tapping the same vein of surreal absurdist nonsense humor as Milligan and Kaufman, Paul Currie pushes the audiences perception of what is comedy and constantly breaks the rules of traditional stand up. His crowd experience began as a street performer in 1999. In 2004 he made his stand up debut in Auntie Annies Belfast weeks before his 30th birthday. He then went on to win the Magners Derry Comedy Festival open mic competition in 2005.

He incorporates a form of stand up that takes influence from the surreal acts of the Victorian Music Hall and mixes this with modern clowns like Slava Polunin, and Jango Edwards.
