Michelle de Swarte

Michelle is new to stand up but has shown massive potential. She is currently filming Dirty Digest, a late night panel show pilot for Channel 4 which sees Michelle perform stand-up at the beginning of the show and goes on to host the proceedings. Most recently she has performed at Choice FM’s monthly comedy night, at Fat Tuesday’s in Angel and Monkey Business on several Saturday night spots.

Michelle was born in Lewisham to a white Jewish mum and a black Jamaican dad. After leaving school Michelle was instantly signed up to a top London model agency and soon relocated to New York, for the last few years. Now she is back home in London and ready to take on the stand-up world.

As a regular on the underground indie music scene, she regularly promotes her own nights (as well as a gay fight club!) Michelle has most recently appeared on the BBC’s The Noughties…What Was That?, ITV2’sI’m a Celebrityspin off show with Caroline Flack and Joe Swash and Channel 4’s The Fashion Show with George Lamb and Abby Clancy.
