Past credits have included tours of two comedy physical theatre pieces, And the Little one Said, which ended at Edinburgh festival in 2005 and Cool Billion based on Nathanael West's play. In November 2006 she finished a nationwide tour of Ionesco's hilarious absurdity play, The Bald Prima Donna with ProActive Productions. Recently Lou has been working with The Natural Theatre Company performing all sorts of insane comic characters for street theatre performances and in April 2007 Lou finished touring her own solo project that looked at 4 parts of her life, told using stand up comedy, film and physical theatre. Lou has been writing stand up comedy for a few years but only recently started performing in comedy clubs. In 2006 she compered for a new event in Bath called The Comedy Effect and in September 2007 she performed at the Kings head comedy club, London. Musically, Lou sings for a dance/electronica band called Hedge Monkey who perform nationally at festivals including Glastonbury 2005 and 2007.
"Lou
Cox has put excellent tutelage to the best use. This performance had echoes of
Dawn French but the style is very much Lou Cox. Within a very few years she deserves
to be at the top of the comedy circuit." "Lou Cox has burst onto the scene with her unique style of humour - bawdy, brave and bold. Compelling to watch, she takes the audience on a whirlwind tour of genre and style, and delivers us at the other end feeling happier, touched and inspired." Emma Gersch, Director and Drama Lecturer "Loved
the performance, no holds barred and very funny!" Simon Capes, Emporium Arts
