Kathleen Ruddy

Kathleen Ruddy started her own company 'Rubber Ear Productions' back in 1995. Her first play 'Glasgow Hard Tickets' was launched at The Gilded Balloon Theatre as part of The Edinburgh Festival. The play sold out at all performances and received a Scotsman Fringe First and a BT award for innovation in Theatre and outstanding new production.
Her second and more notorious play 'Sex, Chips and Ouzo' was based around her experiences in Cyprus. This play sold out at The Gilded Balloon Theatre as part of The Edinburgh Festival and became Mayfest's most profitable show to date.
'Sex, Chips and Ouzo' has played throughout U.K and Cyprus. Ruddy continues to write for Television and Theatre.
