Jon Richardson entered stand-up in May 2003 and with his first ever live performance he progressed to the regional finals of that year's BBC New Talent Comedy Search. He marked the end of his first year in comedy by becoming one of six acts to reach the final of the J20 sponsored Last Laugh Competition where he performed for an audience including Jasper Carrot at the Criterion Theatre in London's West End. Within just a year and a half he had realised his dream and was working nation-wide as a full-time comic. Consistently high levels of performance, a willingness to work whenever and wherever the opportunity arose and a tireless desire to generate new material have been the secrets of Jon's success. He now works regularly at Brighton Komedia, Just The Tonic Nottingham, The Glee Club and Bristol's Comedy Box and Jesters. He has performed at festivals in Leeds, Guildford and Bristol and has headlined university gigs for Off The Kerb and Avalon. Abroad he has compered in the French Alps, headlined in Barcelona and performed a one-man show in Greece. 2006 saw Jon complete an award-winning, sell-out, 60 date national tour supporting Alan Carr. Jon can currently be heard every Sunday morning, from 1000 until 1300, on BBC 6music with Russell Howard. Edinburgh
