James Alderson
James Alderson has rocketed up the comedy charts in 2011, becoming a much sought after comic opening and headlining clubs all over the UK. James can be found the length and breadth of the country on most nights of the week, bringing tears of laughter and aching sides to all ages. Starting in the Autumn of 2010, James qualified for all the major rounds of the most respected new act competitions around the country, including Laughing Horse, Amused Moose, Golden Jester, New Comedian of the Year, as well as being short-listed for ITV's "Show Me The Funny" and the BBC Radio 2 "New Comedy Awards" in his first 8 months! James was also Grand Finalist in the Bath Comedy Festival New Act Competition, still only after a couple of months on the circuit!
Here are some short examples of James’ style:

James’ first Edinburgh show “Loose Men” was a total sell-out in 2011, and in less than a year has gigged with, and supported, the following well-known comedy names:
Andi Osho, Hal Cruttenden, Martin Beaumont, Lee Nelson, Paul Chowdry, Andy Zaltzman, Trevor Lock, Imran Yusuf, Carey Marx and James Redmond.
In June James launched his own club, Banter Comedy Club, at Havant Leisure Centre in Havant, to a rapturous reception, giving James a regular chance to work on his MCing, and bring the acts he meets on the circuit to his home town. He now gigs to small and large comedy audiences from 50-350 people, as well as corporate events and festivals, and is happy with any setting or crowd demographic. His style is observational, and James loves to engage and chat with the audience, so anyone finds his humour appealing and intoxicating.
