Ira Rainey

"The man who looks like he has mafia connections but loves shopping at Marks & Spencer’s." - Bristol Evening Post

What exactly was meant by that review remains a mystery to this day, but one thing that is known is that Ira Rainey is exciting critics, audiences and promoters up and down the country with his cool, deadpan style of twisted observational humour.

A relative newcomer to the stand-up circuit, Ira has been travelling his original views on life and the universe around the United Kingdom since 1999, and is rapidly covering all land between the four corners making him one of the hardest working and fastest rising stand-up acts on the national circuit.

Since making an early impact in various national new act competitions, Ira has grown from strength to strength, earning himself a reputation as an emerging star of the future.

A highly motivated individual, he can now be found performing for Avalon, Off the Kerb, Jongleurs, The Comedy Store, Rawhide, Hyena Comedy Cafe, and The Comedy Company along with numerous other independent promoters.

"...someone with a big future on tonight’s showing and the highlight of the night for me." - Crosby Herald

"...destined for a long and successful comedy career." - Adhoc
