Ian Royce

TELEVISION (Over 200 hours of Live TV presenting!)

Ian was presenter of ‘The Blue Review’ and ‘Students Choice’, (which won a BAFTA for best BBC2 documentary) as well as the hugely popular, late night, ‘Indecent Proposal’ which was filmed on location in Ibiza. Ian has also presented two pilots for the shows “Numbers Galore” and “Zoom”, both still in production!

Other television credits include ‘The Big Big Talent Show’, ‘Talking Telephone Numbers’, ’The Time The Place’, ‘Stand and Deliver’, ‘The Stand up Show’, ‘Central Weekend Live’ and ‘The London Debate’. He is constantly being seen on Avago as the presenter of the “Dice” game and “Roulette” (Sky channel 181) as well as being “Simply Shopping’s” number one presenter.

Children’s television is another angle Ian has taken as the popular character Grumpy O’Malley in “J.J.The Jet Plane.

Behind the camera Ian is arguably the country’s leading warm up man. He prepares audiences for top shows such as, ‘Pop Idol’, ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’, ‘Celebrities Under Pressure’, ‘You’ve Been Framed’, ‘Stars In Your Eyes’, ‘Friends Like These’, ‘I’ll Do Anything’, ‘Families Like These’, ‘Surprise Wedding’, ‘Judgment Day’, ‘Test the Nation’, ‘This is Your Life’, ‘I’m The Answer’, ‘Red Or Black’, and ‘Pop Rivals’.

RADIO

Over the last eighteen months Ian has been forging a formidable reputation on radio. He can be heard on the only National talk dedicated radio station, ‘Talk Sport’, where he has covered for every presenter including Mike Dikin, James Whale, Ian Collins and Charlie Wolf. Not a month goes by without Ian’s dulcet tones being heard across the nation. Such is his popularity and talent that he is in regular demand by the presenters to keep their seats hot and their listeners tuned in while they are away.

COMEDY

Ian has been performing stand up for fourteen years and has had people laughing from the troops in Bosnia, Kuwait, Omar, Northern Island and Kabul, to over a thousand sailors aboard two aircraft carriers!

Stand up has taken Ian to Toronto Canada to work in the two most prestigious comedy clubs in North America ‘Second City’ and ‘Yuk Yuks’, whilst at home Ian is often seen in comedy clubs such as The Comedy Store, Standing Ovation, The Bear Cat Club, The Kings Head and Ha Bloody Ha. Ian started his comedy career in the working men clubs of England, and he never forgets his roots, he plays Bingo once a year to remind himself about the long drive home from Newcastle!

Cruising saw Ian visit every Caribbean island and work for every major cruise company, doing his last cruise aboard the QE2.

CORPORATE

Ian specialises in tailoring his act into award ceremonies, auctions and specialist company functions. This has seen him build a hugely impressive client list with such companies as BMW, Barclays Bank, NSPCC, The Kelly Group, P&M, Microsoft, Price Waterhouse, The Mirror Group, Cancer Research, Dixon’s, Lincoln Financial, Mr Kipling, Cellet travel, Virgin, Carlson Wagonlit, Green Flag and The Las Vegas Tourist Board to name but a few. He has worked in every major hotel in London and just recently finished off the Park Lane Hotels, having worked in every major Ballroom.

Ian’s speciality is to write and perform tailor made ‘This is your Life’ shows and Oscar nights, the last one being at the V&A Museum.
