Living and Dying is surreal, hilarious fun... "A decidedly varied hour of character comedy from the possibly unhinged Geordie, Living and Dying is daring, gloriously self-indulgent and quite unlike anything else you¹ll see at the Fringe... sublime" "Burn is energetic, enigmatic and undeniably unique.... Burn’s charisma carries the show wonderfully. An original spectacle.... genuine hilarity." Scotsgay "Burn's bizarre imagination is vivid, boundless and contagious" The List "A very likeable, undoubtedly talented and funny young lady. Never scared to do things differently she fully integrates with the audience. She is wacky, you’ll either love her, loathe her, which I doubt, but you certainly shouldn’t ignore her. A delightful mish-mash of really funny, occasionally abstract, even surreal at times material with recurring characters and situations. " One 4 Review The Best of Edinburgh - THE INDEPENDENT: More Press: ‘Highly talented… Wonderfully abstract… surreal’ Time Out London Critics' Choice 'The lively and inventive comic behind the wonderful cult show At Home With Holly' London is Funny HOLLY began writing and performing comedy in February 2007 and since then has taken her own unique style of character comedy to Edinburgh, appearing in four highly successful one woman shows which are a hybrid of character, sketch and stand up. In her 2008 Edinburgh show HOLLYWOULD...BUT DOESN’T THINK SHE’LL BOTHER, HOLLY took her audience down the steps of the venue and on a walk down West Nicholson Street to see the shrine and memorial to her dead dog in the window of the PDSA charity shop. "Especially impressive"- The List In 2009, she went a step further, staging AT HOME WITH HOLLY in her New Town flat. Described as a “wonderful cult show “ LONDON IS FUNNY audiences were invited to join Holly in a world of raw meat throwing, fireworks in the shower and the smashing of vintage ornaments with a hammer. This was radical and innovative comedy performed in her real house. Almost too real in fact… She was once awoken at 10 a.m. by a stranger at the foot of her bed, trying to buy a ticket for that day’s show. HOLLY BURN is a trained actress and comedian originally from Newcastle.
