Haqi Ali

Haqi has a promising career as an actor in theatre, television and has an equally promising career in stand up comedy.

Parents are from Punjab, born in Birmingham UK, One of the finalists in the "So you think your funny" comedy competition in Edinburgh 1992. Winner of Glastonbury Festival comedy Competition in 1999.

Also appeared on BBC's Network East, Desi DNA, and Malai Monologs as a comic. Recently finished a pilot sit com by Working Titles, Navel Glazing and Picture Farm Ltd.

Haqi's streetwise charm and a natural wit makes him a compulsive act, with a genuine ability to win over an audience because of his on-the-edge style and willingness to confront important issues facing a young inner-city British Asian. However his impersonation of Robert de Nero in a Bollywood movie is something of a local legend.
