Gerry O

Gerry O works as a comedian in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Adelaide and uses his fabulous vocal impersonations for guest appearances on radio in most states in Australia. He’s the winner of “the most unusual talent in Adelaide” for his comic impersonations of famous celebrities including Tina Turner, John Farnham, Anastacia…. and Kermit the Frog!

He has performed his original comedy act at many corporate events including an event at Melbourne’s Telstra Dome for the AFL Grand Final season (in front of 6,000 people), the NRL Grand Final Footy show (in front of 10,000 people at Sydney’s Entertainment Centre) and to two sell-out Hotel Adelaide Christmas seasons.

His background includes Lead roles in Grease, Oliver, Sweeny Todd & West Side Story

Gerry currently also works as a professional musician around South Australia; performing up to four nights a week in addition to his work as a voice over artist for Triple M radio.

He’s been the front man for many of Adelaide’s most popular bands and in early 2005 Gerry was chosen as one of the Australian top 20 for the INXS Rockstar talent competition. He was also the only South Australian to be chosen for a national TV talent show (Star Struck), where he received a fantastic crowd response and plenty of public votes!

Gerry’s also won “best original song” in the Songwriters, Composers and Lyrics Association competition.

His main ambition is to perform his own original music and comedy show nationally and internationally…. He’s well on the way to making that a reality.
