The French

The French are a two man comedy item politely defiling every sacred cow in sight.

Formed in Sheffield in 2006, The French are the amalgamation of failed noise musician Christopher Boyd (long hair) and aspiring classical musician Thomas Davies (short hair).

Their 2007 Edinburgh Fringe show Wormholes and Arseholes has been described as 'Mulholland Drive narrated by Derek and Clive' and touches on everything from funeral etiquette to humanist views on chess.

Eclectic, eccentric and erudite, The French are on a mission to raise eyebrows, both low and high, throughout the UK.

'Like Henderson's Relish, their favourite tipple, The French are dark, northern and have a very unusual taste' Sheffield Star

‘Are they anti-joke? A concept act? They are funny and that's all that matters.

Cerebral in a way that any young and intelligent audiences love, daft enough to crossover. You want to cuddle the pair of them... if you could just get over laughing at their steadily building running gags and their ability to blend their own tastes and quibbles. Natural on stage and with each other, the boys have done and will do good. They'll go far.’
