Fred Ferenczi ... a tad different
Finalist SILVER COMEDIAN Leicester Comedy Festival 2012, 2013 and 2016.
“Ash” in Radio sitcom “Slaving Away” starring and written by Miranda Kane
“Purposely awkward and shy. A real Kaufmanesque approach to his time which was great to see...” (Glee, Birmingham)
“Without doubt the most marvellous and memorable act I have even seen”. (Ian Hall)
“…Ferenczi, pronounced Frenzy, could become quite the cult. He’s a dopey old duffer who you could imagine as one of the villagers in the Vicar of Dibley, though even more strange. He promises a ‘rollercoaster of gaiety and glee’ that his distracted absent-mindedness, nervously fiddling with tissues and bits of string, can’t hope to match.” Steve Bennett – Chortle
“Brilliantly weird.” Mark Rann - Chesham Comedy Club
“Darkly dapper, a lovely man with a delicious streak of ‘wrong’ in him, like a touch of chilli powder in your Vaseline.” - Paul David Collins
“We’ve had some great feedback about your act…people were literally crying with laughter” - Mock Tudor Comedy Club
Fred began gigging in early 2010s and has clocked up over 500 gigs. Fred now regularly gets paid 10/15/20s - Opening, Middles and (in smaller rooms) Closing. He also curates (and appears at) comedy tents at Citadel and Wilderness festivals, which in 2016 are/ were headlined by Dane Baptiste and Sara Pasco, respectively.
Works equally well on conventional as alternative bills. Performed at numerous clusbs including Glee (Birmingham), Comedy Cafe, Fortnight Club, Up the Creek, Kings Head Downstairs, Angel Comedy, Gittens to Know You, Barnstormers, Fun House Comedy, Hot Water Comedy Club, Ludgershall Comedy Club and many more.
