Flight of the Conchords

Perrier 2003 nominees Flight of the Conchords are one of the most acclaimed new acts on the international comedy circuit. Their sell-out Edinburgh 2003 show, 'High on Folk', earned them recognition in the UK and they will be returning here in 2004 for live dates, TV and radio development and the 2004 Edinburgh Festival.

"The Kiwi combo's assault on this much mocked genre is the Festival's cult hit...Each successive spoof is executed exquisitely.... fearsomely funny accuracy."
Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard, 11 August 2003

"Brilliantly underplayed, the wit is so aridly dry and yet so brilliantly stupid. With their unique standpoint, these two immensely gifted comics have created a splendid environment in which to quietly savage an impressively wide range of topics...this is simply unmissable." Chortle, Melbourne, April 2003

"...this Kiwi duo has accrued a cult following that seems to include every other comedian on the fringe. You can see why: their show is a late night gem. ... it all boils down to the tunes. You can't do Proclaimers meets Kraftwerk without musical skill. Clement and McKenzie have that in abundance. And the lyrics are a joy. It's a delicious combination..." Brian Logan, Guardian, Edinburgh Fringe, 7/08/03

"Were (Richard) Branson to back this duo, it would be a wise investment... shamblingly self-effacing, ludicrously silly and beautifully timed'
James Mulligan, Scotsman, 14 August 2003
