Elena Procopiu

Elena Procopiu combines original routines, shameless references to her ethnicity with brilliant, incisive and occasionally outrageous ad-libbing. She is also a multi-lingual actress and voice-over artist; TV credits include ‘The Bill’ and ‘Blue Peter’ as well as numerous leading stage roles. She has performed Romanian voice-overs for Jetix/Disney and French for the BAFTA award-winning animation company Tandem Films and English narration for a saucy film. 

She has gigged up and down the country, off-Broadway in New York and in her native Romania. She has also worked as a French/Romanian/English interpreter and more dubiously played real people for undercover journalists and Private Investigators.

In 2010 she performed guest spots in Edinburgh and represented Romania performing a regular slot at The Comedy World War 2010 show which was a variety stand-up night with comics from all over the world which was a huge hit.

In September, she will start filming a Comedy horror feature film playing homicidal thieving Romanian strippergram.
