Eimear Ballard

Eimear is originally from Northern Ireland, but is now a student at the University of Warwick. She has performed in several cabaret events, pantomimes and theatrical comedies in conjunction with the drama society Fresh Blood, and is a member of the improvisational comedy group the Improverts.

In 2002, she set up the comedy and threatre company Quincelet Productions with a fellow student. Through Quincelet, Eimear co-wrote, directed and starred in the dualogue play 'Catharsis', a satire on the timeless figure of the gap year student, which achieved a great deal of success both within the university and on its debut in London.

She is currently working on the comedy 'Attack of the Bee People', which is planned to make its stage debut in early 2004. Eimear regularly performs as a comedian in events at Warwick, mixing a traditional standup style with music and ridiculous props. She is a regular performer at Kelseys bar in Leamington Spa, and has also appeared in events at Leamington Community Arts Gallery.

This year she was an entrant in the Babycham Funny Women competition at the Cheeky Monkey Comedy Club. Eimear is always available for gigs especially in the Midlands;
