Derek Ryan

Derek Ryan has been speeding up the Irish comedy ranks since 2005. He is part stand-up, part sketch comedian, part story-teller and logically unhinged. But he's not messed-up, he's eclectic, okay? His meandering mind works in pictures, drawn in the air with wily phrases & flailing limbs. Random everyday observations with little regard for the laws of nature or the fact that he can't actually talk to animals.� He's also got some jokes.

Derek is fast becoming a regular face on the Irish Comedy circuit as a headliner, supporting act or MC performing at all the major comedy clubs, including The International, Laughter. In November 2007 he put on his first solo show to a standing-room only audience in Tripod.�The show proved to be a preview for his first one-man show;��"Mongrel" at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2008.
