David Elms

David began performing in Edinburgh Uni's long-running improv troupe The Improverts, with whom he performed packed out shows every friday night for four years including four sell out runs at the fringe. Whilst still at uni he also wrote and performed in two sketch shows (Charmed Forces, 2010 & Transformer, 2011) and began performing stand-up, winning Edinburgh Uni Stand Up Of The Year 2011, reaching the final of the Chortle Student Comedian Award 2012, and securing representation.

Now London-based, David incorporates songs, stories and jokes into his confident and intelligent sets.

He has gigged for off the kerb, CKP, knock2bag, Chortle, BBC Comedy Presents, and Monster, and also runs his own gig 'Dave Has Mates' every two months, which has featured as Time Out critic's choice.

This fringe (2013) he is appearing with Adam Hess in a free double-header at 6pm in The Hive on Niddry St.

David is represented by Alex Pudney at James Grant.
