Danny Worthington

Danny has been performing comedy since 2002, in 2005 he took a two-man show (with Johnny Sorrow) to Edinburgh.

He has various sets available - from - a true routine about coming out as gay - to - sets with glimpses of surrealism in which he plays badminton with live budgies and in which his mother gives the name Shep not only to their family dog but to the chair, table and much else.

In his first three years he regularly performed in Laughing Horse venues around London, as well as having performed at Dropping the Soap, Oi Oi Eastbourne, Comedians Graveyard, Scabby Tabby, Hammersmith Comedy Club, Downstairs at the Kings Head, and other open mic nights in the South of England.

His main performance outlet since 2007 has been the yearly season of shows that he hosts at the Edinburgh Fringe "Fresh Faces At The Free Fringe". He also occasionally participates in sketch shows at the Etcetera Theatre and Canal Cafe,

Danny's Edinburgh Fringe show 'Desperately Seeking Sorrow' was nominated for the "Malcolm Hardee Oy Oy Award" in 2005.

"...interesting and well written routine..." - chortle (John Fleming, review of Desperately Seeking Sorrow, 2005)
