Clare Summerskill

"When she broke into a song entitled 'I like a dyke to be a dyke' the room fairly thundered with the sound of Doc Martens stomping approval" Time Out

Clare is presently touring with her all new "Bootleg Clare Summerskill" show A fast-moving and hilarious night of comedy and song from the most convincing “Look-a-likey” you’ll ever come across... Clare Summerskill herself! It’s a one night stand you’ll never forget!

As a writer Clare contributed to the last series of "Weekending" on BBC Radio 4. She wrote for the BBC Radio 2 women's comedy sketch show "Heated Rollers", and last year she both wrote for and appeared in the first ever pilot for a Lesbian and Gay sketch show on Radio 4, "So What If I Am?" For theatre she has written two commissioned plays for the Reminiscence Theatre Company "Age Exchange", both of which toured nationally. She also wrote the award winning Lesbian musical "An Evening With Katie's Gang" which was produced at The Oval House, London.

Clare has also produced four albums to date, her latest is Feel's Like Coming Home and before this she produced "Make It Sound
Easy". Both consist of original songs written and performed by herself and her band. Clare's first two albums were made with her
former cabaret partner Alice Arnold ("Alice and Clare-Live at the recording Studio" and "On Your Side").
