“clever and accessible comedy“
Claire May is a female comic but she does not do jokes about fannies, nipples or how shit men are. She does jokes about farting, zombies and god. Much of her act is based on her totally bizarre life which is so surreal that it would make the Boosh puke. As Claire has always been a writer and a show-off, performing was always going to be the next natural step, and although her first ever gig was only in summer 2010 she has since become addicted and now performs on a regular basis, mainly in the East and West Midlands.

Meadows Bar, Edinburgh (as part of the 2010 Laughing Horse Comedy Festival)

Review from Marvellous Comedy night in Beeston, Jan 20th 2010: http://www.westmidlandscomedyforum.com/
Claire's material this month was very playful after allowing her armpit to be inspected by Tarquin. She criticised the Panda in a way that I have never heard or experienced before. Clever and accessible. She discussed Chris Packham as a book critic. She talked about Noah and how this is an allegory for the current political climate within Britain, and a nice set piece about her two year old son’s invite to a party. Claire displays a confidence that is backed up with good material.
