Chris Mayo

Chris began performing stand up in 2003 at the age of 16. At age 17, he co-wrote and performed a touring comedy show "Rabbit" which featured stand up and sketches which toured venues in Hampshire.

At 18, Chris launched his own comedy company The Comedy Bar, which now has regular sell out events in Southampton, London and across the UK, and has seen the likes of Russell Howard, Andy Parsons, Stewart Lee, Stephen Merchant, Robin Ince, Reginald D Hunter and many more of the country's best comedians.

In 2008, Chris moved to London to persue his stand up career, and is fast becoming a well known and popular act on the comedy circuit.

Regularly performing paid sets and MCing gigs, Chris has gigged for Avalon, Off The Kerb, Mirth Control, Christian Knowles, Old Rope, Outside The Box, Porthole Comedy Club, Roehampton Uni, The Chuckle Club, The Orange Rooms, The Comedy Bar, RibTickla Comedy, Ministry of Comedy (UCL) and many more

Chris has also supported Jason Byrne, Trevor Lock, Scott Capurro and Tony Law on one man shows and tours.

As well as being a comedian, Chris also works as a freelance actor, supporting artist and radio presenter, having recently been given a monthly hour show with comedian Hannah George on Portsmouths ExpressFM, which is also a downloadable podcast.
