Andy Kind

Andy has been on the circuit since January 2005, since which time he has clocked up - owing to his willingness to travel almost anywhere - a large number of gigs.

As well as having held residencies as compere at 2 Off The Kerb venues, Andy runs Lunacy Comedy - based in Stoke-on-Trent. By the start of 2006, there will be at least 5 gigs running regularly undAndy Kind is a full-time stand-up comedian known for his ability to develop niche markets. He is one of the pioneers behind the new wave of Clean Comedy hitting the UK comedy circuit, as well as performing at hundreds of comedy clubs and churches around the country.

Andy has been part of the comedy circuit since January 2005.

In that time he has performed all over the country, won awards, hosted his own radio show, appeared on TV and been commissioned to write his first book.

Since winning ‘Anything for Laffs’ in 2005, he has gone on to be recognised as one of the warmest and most engaging comperes in British comedy.

Described by BBC Staffs as ‘A star’, and by XS Malarkey as ‘excellent, delightful and charming’, Andy uses his love of life as the foundation which underpins all his comedy, bringing a joyous energy and enthusiasm to any stage – taking pleasure in everything and everyone! Andy has done corporate work, written for local radio, had articles published in various magazines, and as a stand-up is now gigging almost exclusively as a paid 15-20 act. He has also headlined some of the smaller gigs around the North of England.

With jokes ranging from one-liners to drawn out anecdotes, and subjects touching on topics from quirks of the English Language to his own Christianity, Andy is quickly finding a unique voice for his comedy. Add to this his super-strong stage presence, and you have a very exciting, promising act.
