Alek Maxwell

Alek has been performing stand-up comedy since 2000, first entering the Daily Telegraph open mic competition, and subsequently performing at the open mic semi final as only his second gig.

He is constantly thinking up and writing new material, so his act is always pretty fresh, dabbling in topical comedy, more personal stories and the occasional touch of surrealism.

He's a regular compere at the University of Warwick Student Union paramount comedy night and has done gigs from Brighton to Edinburgh, so he isn't afraid of travelling either. Oh and he did the five minutes at the King Kong in Manchester, but ultimately lost.
